In 2019 Jenny Dowd wondered if a cloud dispensing unit could be possible.
After a Moonshot presentation to Jackson Hole Public Art, the first factory was planned as a community affair. Free Cloud Kits were distributed to the community and volunteers made clouds (on a stick and on a string.) Coins were minted. Posters were made.
For one day in early March of 2020 the Pavilion on the lawn of the Center for the Arts in Jackson, WY became a Cloud Factory. Cloud Engineers were trained to run the Factory, and coins were distributed. Cloud music was played, Cloud merch was sold, Cloud drinks were consumed. During this time, Cloud Conductor Skyy (aka Jenny Dowd) opened the factory and dispensed hundreds of clouds to a wondering audience. And then, like a cloud, it was gone.
In the summer of 2021 the Cloud Factory returned to the boardwalk of Jackson, this time as a portable dispensing unit. Jenny became the new Cloud Conductor as Jenny-Dowd-on-a-Cloud. 2021 coins were minted. Cloud Kits were distributed and collected. The portable dispensing unit was fabricated. With the help of a fearless friend, coins were distributed to a curious and skeptical audience who chose either a cloud on a stick or cloud on a string. They inserted the coin, cloud factory noises were produced, and gloved hand emerged with the requested cloud.
Where will the Cloud Factory go next?

Who is this Jenny Dowd-on-a-Cloud?
Most days she is a potter and maker of useful things, but she daydreams and schemes about making not-so-useful things.
